Diana Mayo

For anyone else who’s read the 1920s bodice ripper The Sheik, don’t you think that this is exactly like the jade silk dress (the one dress that Diana packs with her on her trip into the desert) looks like?

The simplicity of the cut reminds me of an anecdote in Madeline Grown Up by Mrs Robert Henrey where she remembers going to stay with a cousin and dressmaker aunt in 1920s Paris and the aunt laughing that she could make the girls up 2 new dance dresses in 2 hours, now the patterns were so easy.
