A roguish penguin

A reprise of Helen Hancocks‘ illustrations for ‘Penguin in Peril’. It reminded me of a uni friend who passed through life accompanied by a roguish penguin businessman, frequently egged on in his more fly-by-night schemes (e.g. selling daffodils from a church graveyard back to a vicar for bouquets on Mothering Sunday) by a distant cousin, McPenguin, who could usually be trusted to appear at the moment of crisis with an unusually strong glass of whisky. Mr Penguin’s companion, Mrs Parrot, usually chose to visit her mother at these points.
