Although I’d like to see the Botticellis currently on display at the V&A, I’m less bothered by the rest of the show, which look quite dull based on what I’ve seen so far. But I couldn’t resist posting this…

The image is from the Guardian’s article and shows the recently discovered Portrait of a Lady known as Smeralda Baldinelli.  (“The lady known as…” sounds like a novel title.)

I like how the photo shows the scale of this already deeply domestic portrait.
