Wandering by

The most memorable sight in Valencia were the domed church roofs, covered in deep blue glazed tiles – but as they were set high up and far back from the edge of the church they were also impossible to photograph. So that will have to stay in your imagination, along with the fruiting date palms that grew by the sea and in amongst orange trees.

And of course, the sea…

And the golden stone everywhere, but especially in La Llonja, the former trading hall and courts of justice built in the late 15th century.

And on the last day, another mercato, an unexpected book fair, street art and possibly the fanciest fabric shop I’ve ever seen
