Between the desert and the banana grove

Valencia’s botanic gardens may even be the best I’ve visited (controversial, I know, and Oxford and Copenhagen also hold soft spots in my heart). However, how can you resist this

And this?

And these amazing greenhouses?

And then a banana tree grove?

Followed by a cactus maze?

And the best bit? They have cats wandering through who are *not for petting, but are absolutely stroked, cooed over and fed by every visitor*
